I have a wide range of expertise from working in Children’s Centre settings to many years’ experience as a Family Support Practitioner, Independent Sexual Violence Advisor and Life Coach. These roles have enabled me to develop an extensive background in working with and supporting families and individuals. This support can be in assisting individuals to explore and understand their feelings following trauma, challenges to mental health, substance misuse, behavioural concerns, personal and professional goal setting and the breakdown of relationships and social networks.
Justine - Life Coach
Through my career progression I am able to recognise the complexity and diversity of people and their lives, hence I am mindful that at all times I promote a non-judgemental and equal opportunity approach, whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times. As a Life Coach I use motivational interviewing techniques to assist behaviour change, whilst guiding people to recognise their behaviours, negative thinking patterns and identify their strengths.
I have a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Integrated Working with Children and Families. This course allowed me to draw on different disciplines and professional backgrounds that reflect on the complexity of family lives. As part of my professional development I have completed various training courses ranging from Higher National Diploma in Advanced Practice in Work with Children and Families, NLP Practitioner (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Motivational Interviewing, Protective Behaviours, Mental Health First Aid, Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Novel Psychoactive Substances, Parents Plus Training Programme and Relate Counselling Skills for Non Counsellors. DBS checked.
"It is through my studies, career development and being a parent that I have developed my own personal philosophy which is to support and embrace the uniqueness in people, listen to their voice, whilst giving them positive experiences to learn and develop from, at the same time as allowing them to thrive."
